What am I doing?
Setting out on a blogging adventure I suppose. My reason for establishing this new(to me) form of communication is because of a very unfortunate accident.
Good Friends of mine are fighting for their daughter's life. Grace ( her real name is being protected from
the ever hounding Press) was meant to enjoy an afternoon at a local park with her Daddy and her two younger brothers. Grace escaped from Daddy while her was helping the boys out of their car seats. An immediate search ensued and a short time later Grace was found in an ice covered lake. Two weeks have passed with Grace in ICU at Children's Hospital and God has worked miracles but much prayer is still needed for Grace and her family.
My friendship with Mom developed because we are both involved with a group called Motherless Daughter's. I met Mom and felt an immediate tug on my heart. Mom is only a year older than my own daughter. She very smart and a wonderful Mom. I met Dad when he was my team leader for a city wide program called "Go Cincinnati". When their most recent son was born, I tried to organize meals to help out the first month of baby's life.
Mom and I have served on some planning committees for Church events. I love her fresh new perspective on every thing.
This accident has touched so many in our community and from coast to coast. Please pray for God to heal Grace and on my next post I would like to explain some ideas I have to help this sweet family.

You go girl!!! We are with you and as we have opportunity and think of avenues to assist, you will be hearing from us!!! I am having a group of friends over tomorrow evening and several have indicated they want to do something...so will let you know what develops! Most are nurses, social workers who have huge hearts! We will also pray for needs to be met and God to bless the gift and the giver!
