I had the opportunity to visit with Mom this afternoon. It was good to spend some time with this very special woman. I was delivering easter baskets given to my Motherless Daughter friend, Glo. A church near her office was kind enough to remember Grace and her brothers with lovely baskets filled with stuffed animals, books and assorted goodies.
Mom has an idea to create a journal so people can leave notes when they are visiting Grace at the hospital. What a great way for Mom and Dad to know about the interactions Grace encounters when they have gone home to be with the boys. Grace has a CD player and we talked about singing her songs that children love. "Wheels on the bus" comes to mind right away as well as many others. Also Brother is enjoying a new DVD from Leapfrog called "The Letter Factory". I have an extra copy that we talked about taking to the hospital for Grace.
Mom gave me a picture of Grace today so that I can design a thankyou note for all of the wonderful people that have reached out to help. I can't wait to start on my design.
Well, it's time to hide the eggs and prepare for tomorrow's Easter service and dinner with my children and their families. Should be a fun filled day!
