THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELP
I want to share the http://www.gracegoodday.com/ site with anyone who is interested with staying in touch with the miracles in Grace's life on a daily basis. This blog also offers specific prayer requests.
I read it every day and try to send Mom and Dad prayers and words of encouragement.
I feel like I am being drawn to try to help with things that Mom and Dad do not have time to think about right now. Some are immediate needs, some are not.
I learned today in a meeting with two other Motherless Daughter's that there is a need for gas cards to help with the soaring gas prices and the multiple trips they are making each day to Children's hospital .
Mom and Dad had never had a cell phone before this accident, a luxury they would not allow themselves. They now have an I Phone but the minutes will run out on April 5th. They could use more phone cards.
Mom needs to really watch what she is eating because last week she went to the emergency room because of abdominal pain. It was discovered that she has gall stones. By monitering her diet she is hopeing to postpone the surgery she is going to need.
My self and a friend are going to research student loan forgivness. Apparently under certain curcumstances that may be a possibility. Mom and Dad have shouldered that resposiblity themselves and could benefit from those responsibilities being lifted.
My friend is going to assist in obtaining and helping Mom and Dad fill out the proper paper work to obtain Social Security Disability for Grace. Did you know that there is a lifetime cap on what insurance compaines will pay. Having a child in ICU for 2 plus weeks can really add up.
I will continue to praise God for the improvements in Grace's conditionand hope that through prayer and faith that Mom and Dad can stand tall in advocating for their daughter's well being.
Please feel free to e-mail me if you feel the need to help in any way. pam.d.curran@gmail.com
